Australian Rules footballer who starred for Carlton, whose accomplishments include: 2× VFL/AFL Premiership player (1987, 1995), 2× Robert Reynolds Trophy (1990, 1996), Carlton Life Member (1992), Carlton Vice-Captain (1998–2001), Australian Football Hall of Fame (2005), Carlton Hall of Fame (inducted 1996, Legend status 1997), 5x All-Australian team (1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999), AFL Team of the Century (fullback), Mark of the Year (1988), AFL Life Member (1999), International Rules (1998, 1999), Carlton Team of the Century (fullback), Jim Stynes Medal (1998) and VFL/AFL Italian Team of the Century (fullback).

Ron Stasiuk

Marcellin College Bulleen 1962-1964.

First ophthalmologist in Australia to implant the 3M diffractive multifocal implant (1990) and the AMO Array multifocal lens implant (1997).

One of the first surgeons in Australia to perform excimer laser surgery (1991).

One of the first surgeons to perform LASIK in Victoria (1996).

Invited international lecturer to tour India, Thailand and Singapore (2001)

Associate Ophthalmologist at the Department of Ophthalmology, University of Melbourne (1996–1999)

Served with the Royal Flying Doctor Service and Port Hedland Hospital during his elective year of his medical degree. Also worked in the Indigenous Eye Clinic at Broome Hospital in Western Australia.

Richard Olive

Lead engineer in a series of dam and hydro projects in Tasmania and Québec.

Awarded a Churchill Fellowship in Australia, the 1981 Rickey Medal by the American Society of Civil Engineers, and his team won the 2003 Engineering Achievement Award in Canada.

He has chaired Expert Review Boards for major dam projects in Canada, Malaysia, Indonesia and Madagascar.

Served as Head of the Gynaecological Oncology Department Mercy Hospital for Women 1999-2018.

Assoc Professor at the University of Melbourne.

Competed as a member of Australian Olympic athletic team in 1976.

Paul Ditchburn

Marcellin College Bulleen 1958-1967.

Served as a member of the Victoria Police Force from 17 December 1973, graduating as Dux of a double squad, retiring after 32 years, 6 months at the rank of Superintendent.

Awarded the Australian Police Medal, National Medal 1st Clasp and Victoria Police Service Medal, 4th Clasp.

Served in various uniform, CIB and research roles, and even attended the FBI National Academy, Quantico, Virginia for eleven weeks in 1996.

Kevin Carroll OAM

Received OAM for services to cricket in 2023.

Life Member of Cricket Victoria (15 years delegate, 12 years Pennant Committee).

Inductee of the Hall of Fame (playing section) of The Cricket Society in England.

Received Life Membership of The Lord’s Taverners (Vic) for fund-raising for disadvantaged sportspeople.

Kenneth Fraser

Marcellin College Bulleen 1952-1954.

Major electrical design contributor to Australian Black Box invention.

Developed a system for in-flight monitoring of the accumulated fatigue damage to heavily loaded helicopter gears.

Introduced a novel way of analysing thermocouple temperature measuring circuits whereby each junction is represented by an open circuit voltage generator in series with a junction/lead resistance.

Pioneered the setting up of an Australian Defence Organisation Working Party (with Air Force, Navy and Army representation) that provided guidance on the applicability of accident data recorders and HUMS to Australian Defence Force aircraft.

Codirector Surgery and Critical Care, RDH since 2015.

Mission Team Leader for Australian Medical Assistance Teams to Asia-Pacific in response to health emergencies following earthquake, typhoon, measles epidemic and COVID outbreak.

Teacher and Adviser in ESL and Multicultural Education at Vic. Ed. Dpt. 1979 – 1995.

Ethnic Services Development Officer with then Northcote Council 1996 – 1990.

Publican at the Old Homestead Inn, North Fitzroy 1990 -1994.

Executive Director, from 1995, of the Victorian Cooperative on Children’s Services for Ethnic Groups (VICSEG), a small NGO that supported refugee families. Expanded to include New Futures Training, which trains around 3000 students from diverse backgrounds each year for work in the caring services. Retired from VICSEG New Futures in 2019.

Served as a commissioner in the Victorian Multicultural Commission and received a Centennial Medal for work with the Darebin Ethnic Communities Council.

Darren Mort

Has worked as a Family Law Barrister for over 32 years, devoting time to various Victorian Bar Committees including being Chairman of his List of Barristers.

Finalist for Barrister of the Year in 2019, 2020 and 2021 for the Lawyers Weekly Awards and Social Entrepreneur for Third Sector in 2020.

Founded a registered charity TO BE LOVED NETWORK that produces resources to assist children navigate family violence and separation.

Producer of award-winning films in this sector; and is a published author of a children's book to help children understand parental separation.

Dr Bernie Crimmins OAM

Marcellin College Bulleen 1973-1974.

Entered General Practice in East Doncaster 1983 and still currently working at Manningham General Practice – special interests include Sports Medicine, Nutrition and Men’s Health. Additionally, locum work relieving a solo country GP in Terang Victoria for 12 years until his retirement.

Club Doctor at Hawthorn Football Club in the AFL for 15 years. Made Life Member in 2002.

Team Doctor for Australia at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.

Order of Australia Medal 2016 for services to General Practice and Men’s Health.

Regular talker/lecturer on Men’s Health including the Marcellin College Men’s Health Program.

Maintaining a connection with Marcellin through the Old Boys sporting network with 200 games of Amateur football and committee work, 10 years as President of the Marcellin Old Collegian’s Cricket Club and ongoing (16 years) President of the Marcellin Bald Eagles Sports Club. Further connection with Marcellin as Chair of the Marcellin College Foundation for 6 years until recently.
